Classical Tasting in Moscone Winery
Tour of the estate vineyards, followed by tasting of 4 Moscone wines.
The tour will begin with a walk through our Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo vineyards to discover the characteristics of our terroir and our grape varieties.
We will go over the history of Cantina Moscone and talk about what techniques are used to produce the wines. To follow, the tasting will include the following 4 references in their most recent vintages:
- Roero Arneis Docg
- Dolcetto d'Alba Doc
- Barbera d'Alba Doc
- Nebbiolo d'Alba Doc
The wines will be accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses.
The geneology of the Moscone family is lost in history, but it is since 1877 with the birth of Giacinto that the dynasty links its name to the renowned Piedmontese wine.
Giacinto began his successful winemaking business in Monforte d'Alba, focusing on the quality of soils and grape varieties best suited to the region.
After his death in 1944, he was succeeded by his son Angelo, who continued the business, improving the quality of Moscone wine by taking advantage of the excellent quality of the soils and vines present in the Langhe area. A choice that with time and the right dedication bears fruit and allows the heirs Giacinto and Livio together with his wife Luciana and daughter Sara to take in hand a real treasure to cultivate and share with passion.
