The Chiappera School represents an innovative tourist offer that exploits the concept of Diffused Hospitality, where tourists become temporary residents of the Borgata.

The keystone of our project is the Hospitality Montana, spread within the Chiappera Borgata, thanks to which it is possible to take advantage of different accommodation and activities.

The wind makes its rounds

Even in the Chiappera school kitchen, the wind makes its rounds...that's why we would like to transmit, with humility and passion, all the typical colors and flavors of the Maira Valley offering dishes and recipes from ancient traditions.
Walking along the paths of the Valley, one still seems to hear the echo of the "carus," the wagons loaded with salted fish: the anchovy, a fish that made history and the fortune of so many "anciuè" (anchovy makers), tenacious men who in the winter months traveled through the alpine valleys and plains in search of new buyers.

Our intention is to rediscover with you the simple flavor of pasta filled with plants and herbs that grow in alpine pastures, such as "orle" or wild spinach that spontaneously carpet the valley paths. Also typical are the gnocchi, enriched with cheeses produced in the area, such as nostrale, mountain pasture toma cheese, goats' milk cheese and local ricotta, accompanied by high mountain honey.

Pierpalo and Stefano are waiting for you at Chiappera School, hoping to share with you the emotions, including culinary, that this wonderful Valley gives us every day.
