Description

The Roero is the  territory of Piedmont located north of Alba, on the left bank of the Tanaro River, between the Carmagnola plain and the low hills of the Astigiano area. Roero is characterized by a remarkable variety of landscapes that, alongside the vine, see the presence of forests and orchards. One of the elements that characterize the landscape of the Roero are the Rocche, steep reliefs that cut the territory from southwest to northeast, from Pocapaglia to Montà, dividing the continental soils, based on river gravels and clays, from those of marine origin, where vines find their ideal conditions. The winegrowing landscapes of Roero, along with those of Langhe and Monferrato, were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014 because they "are an outstanding living testimony to the historical tradition of vine cultivation, winemaking processes, and a social, rural context and economic fabric based on wine culture."

We offer a fascinating wine tasting tour in the heart of Roero, Castellinaldo d'Alba. A beautiful walk through the vineyards awaits you, with a visit to the historic winery where you can immerse yourself in the history, traditions of a unique territory, the Roero, with its undisputed enological charm and finally brought to the international wine-making limelight.  At the end of the tour, a tasting of three wines will follow, accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses.
