Detailed programme
  • You will walk through the heart of the historic center of Naples, accompanied by a Region Campania licensed guide, starting from Piazza Bellini, where you will be able to admire portions of Greek wall and with any luck have as background the symphonies of young musicians from the nearby Naples Conservatory.
  • The tour will continue towards Via dei Tribunali, the Decumano Maggiore of ancient Neapolis, to this day one of the most lively and fascinating streets of the city.
  •  Along the way you will encounter the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore alla Pietrasanta, with its ancient Romanesque bell tower, and the mysterious church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio ad Arco.
  • A few steps away you'll admire the Basilica di San Lorenzo Maggiore, an Angevin jewel, and the Duomo, which preserves the ampulla of the miraculous reliquary of the Blood of San Gennaro, beloved patron saint of the city.
  • Returning to Spaccanapoli, the lower decumanus, you will be overwhelmed by the charm of the teeming and characteristic Papolitan shops and visit the wonderful Basilica of San Domenico Maggiore, with its namesake square making for a unique setting.
