Program :

  • The National Museum of San Martino, dedicated to the most recent centuries in the history of Naples, is one of the city s major museums.
    The museum consists of several sections including:
    • the Neapolitan topographic section
    • the naval section, with models of some royal battleships 
    • the section of historical recollections of the Kingdom of Naples with accounts of the political, economic and social history of the Kingdom
    • the theatrical section with prints and drawings referring to the San Carlino and San Carlo theaters
    • the Neapolitan section with paintings of Neapolitan views and royal sites 
    • the nativity section, with the famous Cuciniello crib and other minor cribs of remarkable workmanship
  • The visit of the Certosa di San Martino, monastic complex that houses the museum, undoubtedly represents one of the key stages of an artistic-cultural itinerary of the city.
    We will arrive at the highest point of the hill of Vomero and enter the Certosa di San Martino, a complex built in the Angevin age that includes a beautiful church dedicated to San Martino.
  • Piazza del Plebiscito , one of the symbols of the city of Naples, a place that tells the story of a kingdom and a capital. 
    The church of St. Francis of Paola , which is reminiscent of the Pantheon in Rome and complements the original architecture of the square.
  • A visit to the Royal Palace of Naples, surely one of the highlights of this itinerary, where the history and events of the early and enlightened Bourbon rulers made Naples the true metropolis of the 1700s,

  • Pause at the well-known CAFFE' GAMBRINUS
  • Castelnuovo better known as Maschio Angioino to admire the splendid Arco di Trionfo which commemorates the entry into Naples of King Alfonso D'Aragona.
  • The Umberto Gallery, finally, will take us back to the atmosphere of the city's belle epoque.
