Mesa Winery - Visit with Tasting
Candid, minimalist and unexpected, Mesa rises on top of the slopes that gently slope toward the Porto Pino Valley. It emerges from the green Mediterranean scrub and vineyards, from where it complacently observes the land around it and the fruit of the vintners' labor, and is gazed upon with awe and wonder by those who can catch a glimpse of it even in the distance.
Harvested and carefully hand-selected grapes are destemmed on the highest floor of the winery and allowed to precipitate directly into the vats on the floor below, where the must will begin its transformation. The wine is then transferred to the most intimate place in the cellar where wooden and concrete barrels welcome it for aging, several meters below ground level. The same invisible energy that enriched the vineyard now jealously guards its fruit.
Through our most representative grape varieties, from Vermentino to Carignano, we will take you on a discovery of a wonderful place, the Sulcis coast in southwest Sardinia.
