Visit and tasting Carapace - Castelbuono Estate

Undisputed symbol of the Winery the "Carapace," created by one of the greatest contemporary artists, Arnaldo Pomodoro, and is a unique work, the first sculpture in the world in which one lives and works.

Decisively noteworthy is its shape reminiscent of a turtle, a symbol of stability and longevity that, with its carapace, represents the union of earth and sky.

In fact, the cellar offers itself to the eye as a large copper-covered dome, engraved externally by cracks reminiscent of the furrows of the earth and internally by the signs that are Arnaldo Pomodoro's unmistakable artistic signature.

A sculptural element in the form of a red-colored dart that sticks into the ground underscores the work in the landscape.

The tour of the winery will end with a tasting of wines inside the atmospheric Carapace.
