Detailed programme
Program :
- Visit of the two towns Capri and Anacapri, with the possibility of being able to tour the island by sea.
The tour starts at the island s main port Marina Grande and from here by private buses, you reach Piazza Umberto I (commonly called piazzetta) - The guided tour continues along the winding lanes, characteristic alleys and beautiful terraces accompanied by breathtaking views of the Faraglioni and Marina Piccola, until you reach the Certosa di San Giacomo, the oldest historical site on the island of Capri
- Another stop is the Giardini d'Augusto, consisting of a series of flower-filled terraces, overlooking the Faraglioni on one side and the Bay of Marina Piccola and the hairpin bends of Via Krupp
- Lunch break (full menu) c/o local restaurant
- Take the bus again to reach the island's second town. Anacapri is a distillation of the colors, scents and light of the Mediterranean. The life is still authentic and survives tourism: hidden among the houses are neat little gardens surrounded by rare plants. To stroll through the center of Anacapri is to discover a small Neapolitan tailor's atelier, to rediscover the dexterity of an expert shoemaker, to observe women in the street crocheting or knitting while conversing and singing old songs as lemons perfume the air. Wonders include visiting Axel Munthe's villa and St. Michael's Church
- A (free) walk will conclude the overland excursion
