Private Walking Tour in Lecco
We will move outdoors through the streets of the city and along the shores of the beautiful branch of Lake Como that turns to the east. The very ones from which Alessandro Manzoni took inspiration to write his well-known novel "I Promessi Sposi".
It will be a 2-hour, open-air walk through the streets of the city and along the Adda River.
The experience does not include consumptions and any entrance fees to monuments.
We will start walking starting from the heart of the city, taking our first steps on the characteristic porphyry of this ancient medieval city.
We will walk past one of the tallest bell towers in Italy, that of the Basilica of San Niccolò, which measures an impressive 96 meters. We will see the historic Torre Viscontea, the beautiful squares and the lakefront. Perhaps with a nice ice cream in hand, we will enjoy the relaxing charm of the Adda River as we move to the typical village of Pescarenico, passing the Azzone Visconti Bridge and the Visconti Island.
We will end our tour in Piazza Era, where you can choose whether to return to the center with me or enjoy a few more hours in this little corner of paradise, perhaps sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the typical products of our area.
Walking tour of the pretty town so dear to Manzoni.
"You'll feel like you've known Lecco forever, just as if you had lived there. Touring the town with someone local is always the best choice any traveler can make."
