Guided Twizy Tour of Itria Valley with Lunch

We will leave White Ostuni heading toward the Murgia escarpment: the blue of the sea and the expanse of olive trees will give way to forests of ash and oak trees and then abruptly to almond trees and vines.

A very steep path will catapult us in a few kilometers into the interior of the Valle d'Itria, a succession actually of gentle ascents and descents, once covered entirely by tall trees, gradually uprooted to recover land for agriculture.

Lamie and masserie are being replaced by casedde, trulli and trulli villages of various shapes and sizes.

On the way we will stop at an oil mill for an oil tasting.

We will visit Cisternino, "terrace on the Itria Valley" from which it is possible to see on the horizon, Lorocotondo, Martina Franca and the whole valley.
Alleys, terraces, spontaneous architecture will be the leitmotif of our excursion.

We will be led through the stairs, steps, narrow alleys, arches, flowered balconies and carparo portals, to discover the spaces and places of one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy."

From the Belvedere of Caranna we will descend towards the Plain of the Millenary Olive Trees and, following the Via Traiana, we will thus discover some of the treasures of the Coastal Dunes Park, such as the Dolmen and the white road.
