Horseback riding excursion in Lake Baratz in Alghero

One-hour excursion to discover Lake Baratz, in Alghero, riding a horse!

It will be a nature walk, with the setting of the only natural lake on the entire island.
The lake is surrounded by a lush pine forest rich in Mediterranean scrub including arbutus, myrtle, rosemary, lavender, as well as numerous species of wild orchids.

There are several rare species of animals that inhabit the lake, such as the freshwater tortoise (Emys orbicularis), coot (Fulica atra) and mallard. 

The walk passes Lake Baratz from the pine forest that then opens onto an expanse of sand dunes up to 5 meters high.
