The island also has secondary volcanic activity, which manifests itself in minor phenomena such as solfataras (superheated water vapor emissions mixed with sulfur), fumaroles and mofettes (hot steam and carbon dioxide emissions) and, above all, the thermal waters, rich in beneficial substances.
