Segesta
An ancient city still covered by an aura of mystery and theories about its origins will be enough to make you fall in love with one of the most historic and remote locations in the whole of Sicily. It is so mysterious, that its foundation camps on the basis of some legends. Segesta was erected on Mount Barbaro and was one of the most disputed and targeted lands in all of western Sicily. Famous also for its atavistic rivalry with Selinunte.
Archaeological Park
The most important monuments of this city shaped by time are among the archaeological discoveries that the whole world envies us and, their enhancement, plays an important role in this exhibition. Starting from the theater of Segesta, located on a depression of the highest peak of Mount Barbaro, it shows off in this panoramic and breathtaking view, oriented toward the Gulf of Castellammare.

Admission to Segesta Archaeological Park + Theater
Single ticket to be paid on site -
The Theater located up on top of Mount Barbaro can be reached on foot for trekking lovers, there is also a private shuttle bus service for a fee A/R leaving every half hour.
- Departure from Via Piersanti Mattarella 33 in San Vito Lo Capo at 09.30 a.m.;
- Passage from C/mmare del Golfo, at BAR "LA SORGENTE" c.da Gemma D'Oro 92 at 10.20 am;
- Arrival to Segesta scheduled for 10:45 a.m., tour of the Archaeological Park and Theater with escort;
- Departure for Scopello at 1:00 pm;
- Arrive in Scopello and free lunch in the famous village (tasting of Pane Cunzato is recommended);
- Visit of the village and the stacks with guide;
- 4:00 pm departure and passage from C/mmare del Golfo, release at BAR "LA SORGENTE" c.da Gemma D'Oro 92 at 4:30 pm;
- Scheduled to return at 5:30 pm in San Vito Lo Capo;
- Fine services.
