Snorkeling and Cetacean Spotting at Gallinara Island
The island of Gallinara is a beautiful naturalistic area in the Ligurian Sea, which owes its unique name to the large population of wild chickens that populated it in ancient times, as documented by some Roman historians.
Hisprecious unspoiled natural environment, combined with great historical and cultural value makes it unique!
Since the Middle Ages, in fact, a Columbian and later Benedictine monastery was built there, then gradually the island was abandoned, only to be occupied by the Germans and then liberated at the end of World War II.
Until last decade there was an inhabitant-guardian, while today it is completely uninhabited.
Let's set off together in search of whales and dolphins, on the routes of the "Cetacean Triangle" moving away from the coast beyond 12 miles, equipped with binoculars and camera.
An expert Biologist will be at your disposal throughout the excursion.
