In Sicily between Vineyards and Winery - Augustali Farm
In the fertile hills of Frederick II of Swabia, Finella and Vincenzo cultivate emotions!!
They are waiting for you to share rhythms, scents and flavors of the Sicilian countryside.
The Activity in Brief:

Wine tastings are restricted to persons of age, as alcoholic beverages may not be served to those under 18.
Please report in advance any allergies and food intolerances or special needs. Entrance to the farm is allowed only if accompanied by the guide.
- The visit begins with a pleasant walk through the rows of the Federico II vineyard: here the fertility of the red and sandy soils, the good exposure of the vines, and the gently hilly altitude already anticipate the quality of the wines we are going to taste.
- Before entering the winery we linger in the small baglio to discover the ancient farming tools.
- Finally, glass in hand, we make our way to the winemaking area and are treated to an engaging tasting of two wines straight from the tank.
- Passing through the bottling area we reach the red wine aging room among barrels and barriques.
- We will complete the experience with a tasting of local specialties (cheeses, salami, olives, EVO oil and homemade bread) accompanied by a wine that evokes all the warmth of the Mediterranean.
My name is Finella: I am a mother of 4 children, wife of a winemaker and entrepreneur in the world of wine and gastronomy.
I studied and worked in Sicily between Palermo, Marsala and had some study and work experiences abroad; but the passion for my land prevailed and, together with my husband we decided to bet on the family farm.
I had a dream: to create a place of relaxation in the middle of the countryside, where you can breathe family air, taste genuine dishes, enjoy good wines, and be in contact with animals and Mother Nature. In 2012, believing strongly in the educational and therapeutic approach of the countryside, I began to transform the family vineyard and olive grove into a "teaching" classroom and created the first Educational Farm in the area. A year later I accidentally approached the wonderful world of bees and since then I have become so passionate that I created an apiary, became a beekeeper and raise 7 families of bees; I welcome guests from all over to share this growing passion. But taking care of endangered insects was not enough for me and I ask for a fostering of a little donkey from Pantelleria to the Region of Sicily: "Quercia" arrives on the farm and from there I buy more donkeys; seeing my guests (big and small) happy to spend time on the farm leads me to take horses, chickens, rabbits, baby goats and other docile and tame animals.
But the other great passion, that for the land, the vineyards leads me to build the winery and produce authentic wines that are an expression of our territory. We make a vineyard in the hills for carriage rides, complete a tasting room among barrels and barriques . For 10 years I have been cultivating this dream and see it come true day by day and I would like to share it with you!
