From an article by noted food and wine journalist Vincenzo Reda:
"I visited Borgo Maragliano last Saturday, August 17, with Aragorn Molinar as part of the Colline d'Arte project. Carlo Galliano and his wife Silvia Galliano Quirico accompanied us first to the winery and then to the wonderful, scenic tasting room to learn about their long history and excellent products. I will not go into my organoleptic evaluations here, but the quality of their Metodo Classico, both from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, stands at the top of the Doc Alta Langa and, therefore, at the top of Italian sparkling wine production. I mention the very notable "Dogma" (Pinot in purity, pas dosé, 36 months on yeasts) and the classic "Giuseppe Galliano" (80% Pinot, 20% Chardonnay, with first harvest in 1989...). I reserve the right to return in more detail to deal with this magnificent reality (Forty hectares for about 400,000 bottles)."
