Give yourself an enchanting day in the beautiful town of San Daniele del Friuli.
The Tour begins with a Visit and Tasting at a family-run Prosciuttificio This is where one of the best raw hams in the world is produced, loved by many great chefs! It will be the same family that will welcome and accompany you on this fantastic first stop.
We will end the activity, nestled on a scenic hillside overlooking the Adriatic to the south and the Alps to the north, with a second gastronomic experience, in a delightful modern and medieval atmosphere.
Thanks to the Chef's passion, you will be able to partake in the tasting of a gourmet tasting menu carefully paired with various types of wine.
As described in the Michelin Italy guidebook: "located next to the ruins of the ancient castle and small church, this 13th-century building was designed to house the guards' room of yesteryear. Now home to a small restaurant serving regional and seasonal cuisine with a modern twist."
The experience includes:
- Guided tour of the ham factory with demonstration of curing
- On-site tasting of PDO raw ham
- Tasting menu at restaurant in historic building
During the tour the displacement needs a personal car, as the Restaurant is 10km away from the Prosciuttificio.
At the end of the tour in the first stop, the family will give you the necessary directions to get you to the historic building.
